Meet Dr. John P. Hoover
John P. Hoover, D.D.S.
Dr. John P. Hoover received his doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences, Memphis, TN in 1993. After practicing general dentistry for one year in Chattanooga, he moved to Boston, MA to complete a two-year specialty training in Endodontics at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He received his endodontic specialty training from his mentor Dr. Herbert Schilder. Dr. Schilder is world-renowned for his pioneering work in endodontics. He developed the Warm Vertical Condensation, now world widely known as the " Schilder Technique". The Schilder technique achieves a high quality three-dimensional fill of the root canal system. This is the only technique Dr. Hoover uses.
A specialist member of the American Association of Endodontist (AAE) since 1996, Dr. Hoover is also a member of various professional organizations including the American Dental Association (ADA), Tennessee Dental Society, and Chattanooga Area Dental Society.
Dr. Hoover resides in Ooltewah, TN. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, road biking, snow skiing, and mountain biking.
